Final Products: Cover, Contents, Double Page Spread

Double Page Mock Stages

The colour scheme of this part of the magazine was an issue as both I and the feedback which I received felt that some colours didn't work with the general layout and theme of the page, I chose to use blue as it complemented the darker grey colours which the text boxes and image included, I also replaced the smaller quote with a basic album cover which I could relate to the text.

Contents Page Mock Stages

The changes that I made to get to my final product included suggestion such as replacing the higher image with something which better suited the darker genres of my project, I also made another alteration to the text by using a darker colour around the white text to make it stand out and easier to read against the lighter coloured background.

Cover Page Mock Stages

I made minor changes on my cover product from the feedback I received such as enlarging the barcode and issue number so they could be seen more clearly and also altering the masthead to make the title become more prominent by removing the small splash article on the right. Finally, I added the three key words "ROCK", "ALTERNATIVE" and "INDIE" at the bottom of the page with small bars between them to separate them, I did this as it is conventional of popular music magazine as it allows consumers to quickly see what the magazine is based around.
